Regarding stump removal, planting grass, is handled differently from replanting a tree, or installing a patio or driveway.

We have found it helpful to discuss with our customers what they would like to do with the area after the stump is removed. What works for one won't work for everyone.

• If you can tell us the diameter of your stumps, we can give you a quote over the phone. Pictures are helpful but not as helpful as knowing the actual diameter.

• After grinding a stump, we usually rake the wood chips (debris) back over the stump area, so there will be a pile of debris left behind when we are done.

• The pile of debris will begin to decompose but it will not be suitable for growing grass as is. The wood chips in the debris will tend to steal nitrogen from the soil choking off the grass.

• For quicker results it is best to remove sufficient debris to allow for 3 inches of clean topsoil to be added over the stump to serve as a bed to grow grass.

• If removing the debris seems to much to handle, we offer an optional debris removal service as an additional service.
